The cooperative that produces this exceptional Yirgacheffe was founded in 2012 and helps farmers in the area maintain a sustainable life. All 177 members help to lovingly produce the high quality coffees that thrive in the region.

This coffee has been subjected to thorough mold, mycotoxin, and pesticide screening conducted by a certified, third-party analytical laboratory. The findings declare the product to be toxicologically safe and in full compliance. No detectable levels of mold, Aflatoxin, Ochratoxin, or pesticides were identified in the analyzed sample.

Ingredients: Organic 100% Arabica coffee. Organic certified by PA Certified Organic. OU Kosher certified. Produced in an SQF-certified, renewable energy-powered facility.

"I made my most recent purchase of the Ethiopian Yirgacheffe on Amazon as it was sold out on the FRC site. I was very happy with this batch it brewed up very rich and smooth with really nice layered flavors and the characteristic Citrus in the finish that I really love. This is great coffee it's my absolute favorite and I look forward to purchasing more of it and I will be buying it here on the FRC site as soon as it becomes available. This is wonderful coffee and you won't go wrong with it if you like rich layered flavor that's really smooth with wonderful aroma you owe it to yourself to try this coffee I highly recommend it!"

Very Flavorful

"I loved this coffee because one, it’s mold free clean coffee and that’s all I can drink. I also love that I don’t get jitters from it. Second, it’s rich and kind of fruity yet reminds me of a coffee beer with that hoppy kind of flavor. One of my favorites. "We were once in Ethiopia by accident (it's a story) and had the privilege of having coffee made with beans roasted in a pan over a fire. Can't get that where we live, and even have some trouble finding a good Yirgacheffe here. Thankfully, with speedy delivery from FRC, we can savor our favorite coffee regularly. It's always good, and it's a great wake up!"

Last Batch Not So Good

"This is my favorite coffee and I have bought it many times and it's always been fantastic. The quality the flavor and Aroma have just been As Good As It Gets however unfortunately my last order was not so good I don't know if it was just that particular batch I know that when it comes to an Agricultural Product it's not identical every time however the flavor was simply just off. Both the aroma and the flavor was very different than it normally is and not in a good way. I'm trying a small bag of the Kenya AA as the African coffees are my favorite to see how it will be and as soon as the Ethiopian becomes available again I will order another 5 lb bag to see how it is but I must say if it does not return to the Quality that I'm used to in this coffee I will either switch to another varietal or find a different supplier. Hopefully things will be back to normal with the next incoming batch."
