Exactly what I was looking

"Exactly what I was looking for, no plastic, makes a great pour over, cleans easily. U can keep pot on low on stove to keep it warm longer. Love this product!"

Great coffee maker!!

"I’ve tried various pour over kits over the years and never found one I liked. I’m happy with this one. The filter pours through great - never found one that did in the past. Keeps coffee hot 2 hrs and drinkable warm for about 6. Travels well - I have the 1 quart size. No messing with the paper filters - hated that with other kits. I felt this was quality purchase for a fair price."

Best way to brew coffee

"Pour over brewing is the freshest, tastiest way to brew FRESH ROASTED and I love the ritual-like process. This brewer is handy in that you can unscrew parts to clean it or store it and the thermal aspect is great if you have brewed more than you can drink right away."

Ann

"Really cool looking but lots of pieces to wash. Like the stainless filter when I forget to buy paper filters."

Product suggestion

"The idea is good but it’s difficult to position in your cup holder. So I will wait for now."

Almost perfect

"Love the cleaner flavor of pour over coffee and am mostly happy with this vessel. Was looking to minimize plastic in my life ( and in my body) and this fits the bill BUT, the carafe would be handier with a handle AND the lid needs to be insulted to hold the heat better. Other than those two quibbles, I'm happy."

Q&A

Is this actually 40oz? Or is it 33oz like other Asobu pour overs? Thanks!
Thanks for bringing this to our attention! We were going by the specifications we were given by Asobu - which have changed from 40 to 32 ounces. We've updated our website accordingly to the correct (32 ounce) capacity.
Can I use paper filters?
You can! In fact, Chemex filters work just fine. However, if you're familiar with Chemex pour-overs, you'll notice that the "spout" goes all the way through to the center section allowing air to flow while you're pouring. The Asobu allows air to flow by having a gap in between the stainless steel filter and the side. If you use a paper filter with the Asobu, we'd recommend putting a straw in between the cone and the filter to allow the steam to escape while your pouring. Happy brewing!
